(Macau).- The number of electronic table games (EGT) in Macau could increase by 35 % within five years, says a new report from Union Gaming Research Macau. “We think the Macau ETG market could grow from nearly 4,800 seats today, to at least 6,500 seats (up 1,000 seats from previous forecast) within the next five years,” says the research house.

(Macau).- Sands China is planning to develop a 3,716 square-metre area of Sands Cotai Central previously earmarked for a theatre, and use it for gaming. The news was announced by the parent company Las Vegas Sands in the first quarter earnings call last week, Business Daily reported.

(Singapore).- Casino operator Genting Singapore reported a sharply lower-than-expected quarterly profit. The firm's Resorts World Sentosa, one of two casinos in the island state that are the envy of the global industry since opening three years ago, said that its 35 % fall in core earnings simply came down to so-called "premium" gamblers getting lucky.
