(Spain).- Former Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) deputy director Carlos Hernández Riera has been appointed to the top post of Director General at the Spanish online gambling regulator, a promotion from within the organisation that ensures continuity.

(Italy).- Evolution Gaming has announced the launch of another first for Italy; a new Live Casino Hold’em table for Lottomatica. The game, which can be played in real time online, is the first Live Casino Hold’em to be certified by AAMS and the first to go live.
(Malta).- Malta-based Yggdrasil has launched its new technology, iSENSE, for mobile games. Available on Android and iOS platforms for smartphones and tablets, seven of the firm’s games including King for a Day, Piggy Bank and A Cool Million, have been released using iSENSE along with Swipe Reveal interaction.
It says it offers illegal online gambling
(Switzerland).- The Swiss Federal Council’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has posted a strong warning on its website against Casino Swiss at scasino.com, which it says offers illegal online gambling and falsely creates the impression of being connected to Switzerland through the use of the Swiss coat of arms and numerous other references.

(Italy).- Italian firm StylGame, leader in designing and manufacturing chairs and ergonomic systems for the casino and gaming industries, joins the customer portfolio of Golden Cathay Consulting with the aim to assist in their development.

(Hungary).- Scientific Games Corporation has signed a new lottery systems contract with Szerencsejatek Zrt, the Hungarian State Lottery. Under the terms of the contract, which ends December 31, 2020, the firm will implement its AEGIS NGS next-generation central system hardware and software, install additional WAVE terminals and provide related services.
After a strong beginning when the market was liberalized
(Spain).- Spain’s regulator DGOJ have shown that the market for online gambling services has levelled off. Gross gaming revenues in the Spanish market reached 60.4 million euro in the first quarter of 2013, around 1 million euro less than in Q4-2012. Wagering was up the small amount of less than 1 percent reaching 1.37 billion euro.

(Turkey).- The Turkish Privatization Administration is in the process of privatizing the Turkish National Lottery Association Game of Chances by granting a 10 years license.
