(US).- US and Ukraine-based social casino games company funded by private investors, Playsino, has announced the launch of the Facebook version of Playsino Poker. According to a report by SuperData, social-casino games are expected to hit us$ 1.6 billion in worldwide revenue for 2012, growing to us$ 2.4 billion by 2015.

(US).- Gaming Laboratories International has received an expansion in its ISO/IEC 17025 Scope of Accreditation for its Colorado lab by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The expanded accreditation includes the GDS protocol, allowing GLI to provide an additional service within the Gaming Standards Association (GSA) Certification Program.

(US).- Scientific Games announced the signing of a five-year instant ticket and cooperative services supply contract with the South Carolina Education Lottery. The new deal comes less than two weeks after the firm inked a one-year agreement to provide the Oklahoma Lottery with a range of services including terminals and state-wide communication technology.

(US).- Peter King, a Republican Congressman, has introduced legislation which would establish a common federal regulatory regime for online gaming while creating the Office of Internet Gambling Oversight in the Treasury Department to set criteria for the licensing of operators by state and tribal governments.
