(US).- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that it intends to publish proposed online gambling service regulations for land-based casinos early next month. David Rebuck, Director for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, said that Guidelines for Internet wagering are to be issued via the New Jersey Register on June 3.

(US).- New York-based research company AlixPartners has found in a recent study that Internet gambling helps, rather than hurts, land casino business. The study may allay fears in the land gambling sector that getting into online gambling could cannibalise the brick-and-mortar business. The survey found that online gamblers could be a most lucrative segment for brick-and-mortar brands.

(US).- GLI has completed its testing and certification of Ultimate Gaming’s intrastate interactive gaming system for Nevada. The testing was exclusively done by GLI in its Las Vegas and Colorado laboratories. The certified system has since been approved for field trial by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, making Ultimate Gaming the first interactive gaming service provider in Nevada to go live with intrastate interactive gaming.

According to a draft of the proposed regulations, an initial Internet gaming permit fee of us$ 400,000, and an annual fee of us$ 250,000 for resources for problem gambling.
