Scientific Games and FanDuel Group, a Flutter Entertainment subsidiary, expanded their agreement by implementing SG's sports betting technology in Illinois and Indiana.
The 20-year relationship between Scientific Games and Flutter is consolidating with this double launch that follows on from previous launches with FanDuel in Colorado and West Virginia. The partnership has settled its footprint in four states, and six launches more are planned for the next months.
Alongside FanDuel, OpenSports is also a key component of Flutter Entertainment’s global sports brands that include: Betfair, Sky Bet, and Paddy Power in Europe and Sportsbet in Australia, the company explained in a press release.
According to the suppliers, OpenSports has a history of performing at the highest levels during the biggest sporting events across the globe - demonstrated with 100% uptime during the biggest annual sporting event in the U.S., February’s Big Game. OpenSports also stood the test of resilience and scale through the U.K.’s biggest racing event this month, the Grand National, with the seamless delivery of over 50 million bets and a peak load of 115,000 bets per minute for its long-term sportsbook customers.
Jordan Levin, Group CEO, Digital at Scientific Games, stated in a press release: “World-class operators like FanDuel need sports technology partners like Scientific Games. We have a long and successful partnership with Flutter and it’s exciting to see our leading sports betting technology go live in more states with their iconic FanDuel brand.
