Global slot supplier Wazdan has received its Manufacturer A1 Suitability license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), marking its 16th certified jurisdiction, following recent market entries in New Jersey and Belarus.
The accreditation will see many of the supplier's products hit the Greek market, headlined by Hold the Jackpot titles, the Power of Gods series, including Power of Gods: the Pantheon, as well as 9 Lions and Larry the Leprechaun.
On September 8, Wazdan will release another Greek-themed title, Power of Gods: Hades.
The Hellenic Gaming Commission opened the licensing process in Greece in October 2020 after the Greek parliament passed a new gambling reform bill in 2019. The online gambling reforms were part of a wider package, called Invest in Greece, that included legislation intended to streamline environmental and planning regulations. The regulated iGaming market in Greece has been officially open since August 1, 2021.
Andrzej Hyla, Head of Sales at Wazdan, said: "We are delighted to receive our Greek license as we continue to focus on our expansion in regulated markets. We're very proud to receive our 16th independent market certification, and we are very eager to see how our games are received in this exciting market."
