Wyoming marks the 13th state in which the company’s online sportsbook is available, and the third one this year, following Virginia and Michigan in January. The state has also granted sports betting licenses to other major operators, including Genius Sports and BetMGM, the latter of which already has launched its online sportsbook as well.

DraftKings has launched its mobile sportsbook in Wyoming, ahead of NFL kickoff, the company announced Wednesday. This marks the 13th state in which the company’s online sportsbook is available.

As of Wednesday, customers in the state at least 18 years old can now wager on various markets across professional and collegiate sports throughout the app. Wyoming marks the third state to launch DraftKings Online Sportsbook this year, following Virginia and Michigan in January. The state also joins Colorado as the second one in the Western United States.

On the company’s rapid expansion of its mobile sportsbook, Matt Kalish, co-founder and president, DraftKings North America, said: “Legalized sports betting has seen wide-spread growth in just three years and the DraftKings Sportsbook has been at the center of the action.”

To celebrate the launch, Draftkings Sportsbook is offering Wyoming customers two “Double Your Money” opportunities: the first on the Colorado Rockies getting a hit, and the second on the University of Wyoming Cowboys scoring a point in its home opener on September 4.

Moreover, as part of its environmental initiatives, DraftKings will be hosting an earth-themed free-to-play Pool open to Wyoming customers in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation. The company has an ongoing commitment to fund the planting of 1 million trees by Earth Day 2022. Each entry in the pool equates to one tree planted towards this effort.

“We are thrilled that Wyoming sports bettors have the opportunity to experience the highly accessible and immersive fan experience along with best in class consumer protections that our product offers millions of skin-in-the-game sports fans,” further added Kalish.

Wyoming is the second state this year after Virginia to permit direct mobile licensing for DraftKings, independent of any tethering to a land-based casino or other brick-and-mortar establishment. The DraftKings Online Sportsbook comes to the state nine years after the company launched its daily fantasy product there.

DraftKings isn’t the only company entering the Wyoming sports betting market. The state has also granted sports betting licenses to other major operators, including Genius Sports and BetMGM.

In the case of Genius Sports, Wyoming marks the 15th state in which the brand now has access to. “We are honored that the Wyoming Gaming Commission has joined the growing number of US gaming authorities that have granted Genius a betting supplier license,” said Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke.

BetMGM has also already launched its mobile sports wagering products within the state. “We’re ecstatic that BetMGM is one of the first mobile sports betting platforms to launch in Wyoming, just in time for the start of the football season,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt.
