Station Casinos is reintroducing its summer internship program, the company announced on Monday. The internship provides students at both local and national universities with the opportunity to live and work in a Las Vegas casino for college credit, as well as to develop their professional skills.

The program promises students real-world working experience in the hospitality and gaming sectors, with free lodging and meals. The operator is now accepting applications for the paid internship, at stationcasinosjobs.com.

The program was reintroduced following the success of last summer’s edition, in which undergraduate students experienced living and working for the casino company, which was recently awarded as top gaming employer in a Nevada’s Top Workplaces ranking.

“As a family-owned business and a leader in the industry for 45 years, the hands-on experience students will receive during this internship will be invaluable,” describes Station Casinos in a press release.

Students will be given a series of tasks throughout the internship, including working on the casino floor and attending meetings. By the end of the program, interns are expected to deliver an entire presentation to an executive committee.

The 2022 Summer Internship Program is a 12-week development initiative that comes with $15/hour and a maximum workload of 40 hours per week. Housing will be provided at one of Station Casinos properties: Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, or Palace Station, with meals included.

Hands-on experience and day-to-day operational learning are offered within a variety of departments, including marketing, social media/PR, hotel, human resources, casino operations, culinary, food and beverage, and finance.

Each week ends with a “Think Tank” project, where interns collaborate with Station Casino leaders and operations teams “to pitch innovations and strategic plans” for the company. Previous interns called the program “the opportunity of a lifetime” and described the experience as “immersive.”
