Budget carrier Tigerair Taiwan, a subsidiary of Taiwan's China Airlines, announced that it will soon launch service between Taichung and Macau to give people in central Taiwan a more convenient way to get to the former Portuguese colony.

The low-cost carrier said it will operate one round-trip flight per day on the route starting March 29.

From 10 a.m. on Jan. 20 to 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 22, a round-trip ticket from Taichung to Macau can be purchased for NT$2,538 (excluding taxes), and the offer includes a free meal and a 20-kilogram free baggage allowance.

A second promotional sale will be held from 10 a.m. on Jan. 23 to 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 25 in which a one-way ticket can be had for NT$899 (excluding taxes).
