MGM Springfield is now less than four months from opening. MGM Springfield President Mike Mathis has stated that everything is on schedule for the August 24 opening.
You'll now be able to identify MGM Springfield from afar. Crews are working to install an MGM Springfield sign at the corner of Main and Howard Streets. Crews started installing this sign at 10 p.m. Thursday, and they will continue until 2 a.m. Friday.
This is actually the second sign that crews installed Thursday night. The first was the hotel sign.

MGM is currently in the process of hiring more than 2,000 people to fill open jobs, which are posted on the company's website.
