G2E Asia Awards opens to a packed house at MGM Cotai

Over 350 guests celebrated the inaugural official G2E Asia Awards on Tuesday night, with Galaxy Macau taking out the top gong for Best Integrated Resort.

In what proved to be a hugely successful evening at The Ballroom at MGM COTAI, guests were treated to an evening of world-class entertainment from popular Hong Kong act Drum Jam, singer Crisel and a troupe of glamorous dancing girls.

The G2E Asia Awards were attended by representatives from all sectors of the gaming industry and key government dignitaries including DICJ Director Paulo Martins Chan; Director of the Macao Government Tourist Office Maria Helena Senna de Fernandes; Acting Director of the Macao Economic Bureau Chan Tzi Wai; Founder and Chairman of the Asian Responsible Gaming Alliance and China Lottery Industry Salon, the academic leader and professor of lottery major of Beijing College of Social Administration Prof. Su Gao Jin; Chairman of LKF Group Dr Allan Zeman; Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group Phillip Cheng Yee Sing; Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer Melco Resorts Entertainment Akiko Takahashi; Chief Operation Officer of MGM China Holdings John Shigley; Senior Vice President of Asian Gaming Operations, Sands China Limited Cetin Tanisman; Director and Company Secretary of SJM Holdings Dr Rui Cunha; and Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau Limited Linda Chen.

Co-organized by G2E Asia and Inside Asian Gaming, the G2E Asia Awards recognized excellence and innovation within Asian gaming while celebrating the success and outstanding contributions of not only gaming but also the non-gaming aspects of the entertainment industry in Asia.

A total of 12 awards categories were presented on the night with the winners representing a broad mix of the Asian gaming industry.
