Everi divides its efforts into two market segments: games and payment systems. With regard to the former, their main objective is to introduce -during the second quarter of the year- the Core HDX and Empire MPX cabinets in Argentina's market. "In Argentina, we are present in 100% of the kiosk market. In the rest of Latin America, the kiosk business is just beginning to grow. In the machine segment, the exact opposite happens: we are taking the first steps in Argentina, but we are better positioned at a regional level, "Juan Felipe Salazar, vice president of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean, told Yogonet.
Next week, the company will attend -for the second year in a row- Juegos Miami's Deering Showroom with products for both segments. In addition to the Core HDX and Empire MPX cabinets, it will exhibit its standard product, the Player Classic with progressive and banked products, plus its line of mechanical reels, "one of Everi's most successful product lines," according to Salazar. In addition to Argentina, they aim to grow in Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and the Caribbean.
As for the payment systems, they will exhibit their kiosks for casinos with the ATM functionality that will include all the brand's electronic wallet applications, QuikTicket and bill breaking, preferred in Latin America.
EXPANSION
"Once we receive the approval of the Buenos Aires City Lottery (Lotba), which we estimate will happen in a month, we will install the Core HDX cabinet, integrated with our tournament system, at Hipódromo de Palermo (renowned Racetrack in Buenos Aires). We also hope to install Core HDX and Empire MPX cabinets, in about 15 casinos in the second quarter of the year, "the Everi executive told Yogonet.
When consulted about Panama, Salazar replied: "The kiosk segment is working very well, we were able to quickly comply with the implementation of the 5.5% tax. As regards the gaming machines, we are just starting and our number is so small that it has not affected us very much ".
The company decided to exhibit for the second time at Juegos Miami with the aim of reinforcing its strategy for Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Panama and the Caribbean. Salazar will receive the operators along with Ed Peters, Senior Vice President of Sales; Eric Foster, Product Manager; and executives in charge of sales for Cruises and the Eastern United States.
