The Dominican Republic Casino Association (ADCJ in Spanish) confirmed its participation in GET in Global’s next event, which will be held on August 29 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Apart from featuring live machines, The event will also include sessions for technicians, executives and managers, and a networking cocktail.

GET in Punta Cana can be accessed for free by operators of casinos, gaming halls, sports books and those interested in the gambling industry. There will be game halls with actual players. Attendees will be able to see the sponsor’s product in action.

GET in Punta Cana is part of a series of gambling industry events: "For the first time ever, five events took place in one month, in three different countries, with only one organizer. All of these with an excellent academic level and service quality." assured Alan Burak, founder of the organizing company.

The event will include two main parts: training sessions for technicians in the morning and management sessions in the afternoon. The closing ceremony will feature a networking cocktail.

The Casino and Gaming Bureau (DCJA in Spanish) will take part in the event, as well as the ADCJ, which will host two talks: "Responsible Gaming Program for the Dominican Republic: Presentation and Context of Corporate Responsibility", by ADCJ President David Moniz.

"Although many operators in the country, by being subsidiaries of strong and well-positioned international companies, have already incorporated social responsibility strategies into their Mission Vision and Values, including those related to Responsible gaming, we do not have an adequate regulatory framework for these programs in the Dominican Republic," he explained. There is a certain delay in the incorporation of this type of programs, compared to other Latin American countries these past few years, such as Puerto Rico.

The second talk named "Par/Cut Sheets and Their Relation with Marketing and Economic Behavior of Machine Players", by ADCJ’s Executive Secretary, Anibal Garcia.

"Many times, we acquire machines for our operations based on innovations, brands and technical features such as luminosity, sound, screens, and also on the promise that “Certain markets generate a certain amount of cash per day."

But the entity assures that sometimes, these purchases do not produce the desired result. "As is the case in any supermarket or store, there is plenty of offer but not everyone buys the same products. Players' behavior is not always rational and is directly related to the gaming features players' prefer."

Lastly, they explained that gambling machines’ Par or Cut Sheet is a fundamental information tool which, tightened to an adequate players’ database helps understand players’ economic behavior, enhance machines’ disposition and carry out proper marketing studies on the gaming hall.
