The hotel, which was built by Steve Wynn and opened Oct. 15, 1998 is celebrating its 20th anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip.
Millions of people have stopped to watch the Bellagio hotel-casino's famous fountain show. In the early days, the Strip would often be closed in front of the hotel-casino because of crowds.
.The property opened on Oct. 15, 1998 and cost $1.6 billion. It set the bar for any other hotel-casino that came after it.
It was built by Steve Wynn and later bought by MGM Resorts International.
