888 Holdings has appointed Itai Pazner as chief executive to replace Itai Frieberger who is standing down.
Mr Pazner, who has worked at the online betting group for 17 years, was promoted from chief operating officer. He is the “ideal successor” as chief executive, said Brian Mattingley, non-executive chairman of FTSE-listed 888. He had been chief operating officer since 2017 and before that was a senior vice-president of one of the group divisions.
Mr Frieberger will stay on as a company director for up to 12 months to help a “seamless transition”, 888 said in a statement on Thursday.
“After eight exciting and rewarding years as a senior executive in a dynamic global business,” said Mr Frieberger, who joined the business 14 years ago, “this is the right time for me to step back from the day-to-day running of 888”.
