The site of the new Circa hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas is hitting a major construction milestone overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning. A first foundation pour was scheduled from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. as a convoy of 205 concrete trucks was to deliver 2,050 cubic yards of concrete to set the foundation for Circa, which is expected to open in December 2020.
Circa is expected to deliver an all-new integrated resort concept to the heart of Downtown Las Vegas at the 18 Fremont Street site. The 1.25-million-square-foot, 777-room resort, casino, and spa is set to hold a variety of immersive culinary, entertainment and gaming experiences - including the largest sportsbook in the country, as reported by KTNV Las Vegas.
Owner Derek Stevens is collaborating with Steelman Partners to oversee Circa’s architecture and design with McCarthy Building Companies Inc. as the contractor and Tré Builders as construction manager.
The hotel-casino will be the first brand-new resort built from the ground up in downtown since 1975 and joins other Stevens' properties that include the Golden Gate and the D Las Vegas hotel-casinos, as it was announced last January at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
