Juegos Miami, to be held across 29-31 May at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, confirmed its latest speakers: Alberto D'Angelo, President of Apadela; Krister Malm, CEO of Oddsium; Carlos Nuñez del Prado Zárate, Service Delivery Manager at BMM Testlabs, and Gonzalo Pérez, CEO of ApuestaTotal.com.
They join Michael Daly, General Manager – US, Catena Media; Rodrigo Afanador, CEO, VICCA Group; Matias Lanusse, President, ALEA and Buenos Aires province’s regulator; Gregorio Hernández, General Manager – ELDSA y Sabia Corp., Orenes Group.

The agenda includes a pre-event on Tuesday, with a drinks reception, followed by LatAm Hall of Fame Recognition Awards. On day one, Wednesday May 29, the “Regional Update” will be about Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Puerto Rico, with the participation of Alexandre Manoel, Brazil’s Secretary of Economic Development, Ministry of Finance (SEFEL), to deliver an address titled "What to do when it’s not all black and white: Introducing regulation in a sustainable way."
Next, the panel “What to do when it’s not all black and white: Introducing regulation in a sustainable way” will have José Ortiz, President, Conajzar (Paraguay); and Luiz Felipe Maia, Founding Partner, FYMSA Advogados. Susan O’Leary is a lawyer who has represented some of the world’s leading eGambling operators and gambling service providers including many of Alderney’s licensees. She will be one of the speakers in the same panel, which will discuss the pros and cons of varying approaches to regulating online gaming globally.
Country Roundtables will gather regulators from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. By the end of the first day, speakeasy reception will be sponsored by Merkur, and the DRGT rum and gin tasting bar will be in the afternoon.
The content on day two is presented as a practical how-to guide for operators starting out in the online space. From 10 to 10.45 a.m., "Setting up shop in the online space – the basics for new operators", by Michael Surtees, Head of UX Product Design at William Hill US, will include several topics: Deciding which vertical to punt on: How to get to grips with the demographics of your chosen market; What platforms are available to set up a betting site?; All systems go! How do you operate your site once it’s ready?; and Where can you go for your digital content?
Other sessions featured on Thursday are "Affiliate 101 – What are they? How do they work? And, more specifically, how do they work for you?"; and "Staying safe in the murky world of cybercrime". Then, “All American” themed reception will be sponsored by Novomatic, and the “Grand View Party: Día de los Muertos” will be another opportunity for networking.
Finally, day three is aimed at the needs of international operators branching out into LatAm. The discussions will present demographics and strategic partnerships with Lorenzo Caci from Sportradar, banking and financial inclusion with Andrew Zarnett from Deutsche Bank, and asking what more regulators could do to encourage international investment. The event will close with different kinds of tours around Miami from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
