DraftKings announced this week the opening of its new, near-300 employee office in Las Vegas, as it continues to experience rapid growth. The entire office will be customized from floor plan to DraftKings-branded design, providing employees with collaborative workspaces, as well as access to a variety of workstations, enclosed offices, conference rooms, phone booths, private lounge areas and more.

"From our humble origins less than a decade ago, out of a Massachusetts spare bedroom, it is both thrilling and surreal to now have Las Vegas join DraftKings’ team of offices,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder, and president, DraftKings North America. "This new space further exemplifies our continued investment in the success of our company and employees as we establish our technological prowess within one of the world’s top entertainment destinations."

DraftKings has seen tremendous growth as the company continues to innovate and expand in its product offerings and launch its coveted sports-betting platform in new states. Since October 2018, DraftKings has seen a 40% increase in its company headcount.

DraftKings also recently announced a 20,000-square-foot expansion of its Boston global headquarters and has taken additional space in the city to accommodate their rapidly growing Boston-based team. DraftKings’ sports-betting app launched in New Jersey in August 2018 and has since expanded into Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Hampshire, and West Virginia. Additionally, DraftKings operates physical retail sportsbooks in New Jersey, New York, Iowa, and Mississippi.

The new Las Vegas location will house teams dedicated to customer experience, fraud, casino, sportsbook traders, HR and IT among others. DraftKings also recently announced the company will be going public and has entered into a business combination agreement with Diamond Eagle Acquisition Company and SBTech. Upon close, the new company is poised to become the only vertically integrated U.S.-based sports betting operator playing a central role in sports betting and online gaming.
