The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has undertaken a review into the licence of International Multi-Media Entertainments Limited, which operates lottery betting site Lotteries.com.

The UK Gambling Commission has undertaken a licence review under s116 of the Gambling Act 2005 into International Multi-Media Entertainments Limited, trading as Lotteries.com (operating licence no 000-039526-R-319314).

The following is the text of a statement released Tuesday by the UKGC:

"Pursuant to section 118(2) of the Act, the Commission has determined to suspend the above operating licence insofar as it pertains to the operator’s ability to offer remote facilities for Remote casino and remote general betting standard (real event). The suspension is due to anti-money laundering practices and ongoing social responsibility concerns we have with the operator.

The suspension of International Multi Media Entertainments Limited takes effect immediately.

We have instructed the operator to ensure that it facilitates customers’ accessing their accounts to withdraw any funds and we remain in contact with them regarding the need for clear and updated messaging for consumers."
