Wynn Las Vegas has opened its on-site COVID-19 testing facility for employees, according to a spokesperson cited by KSNV.
Medical staff with University Medical Center will administer the tests, which will come at no cost, Wynn Resorts said in a statement. Hundreds of employees will be able to get tested each day, according to the company.
"Having timely access to test results backed by the medical expertise of University Medical Center is a tremendous advantage as we work toward our reopening," Wynn CEO Matt Maddox said in a statement.
“We are extremely proud to be able to share UMC’s laboratory and testing capabilities with our neighbors at Wynn Resorts,” hospital CEO Mason VanHouweling said in a statement, as reported by Las Vegas Sun. “A vibrant tourism destination relies on our expert health care system to care for all who live in and visit Las Vegas, and we look forward to working alongside Wynn Resorts to bring us all back together again,” VanHouweling said.
The company confirmed earlier this week that it will pay all its workers and provide benefits through at least the end of the month. Wynn says it's working with state and local officials and public health professionals to determine an opening date. Wynn's website is currently accepting reservations for dates starting Friday, May 22.
