By means of Resolución Suprema Nº 26852, an order issued by the Economy Minister, Nelson Fabricio De La Fuente Serrano has been appointed as Executive Director of Bolivia’s Gaming Authority (AJ, as per Spanish acronym).
On behalf of Economy Minister Branko Marinkovic, VP of Planning Gonzalo Quiroga gave the new Executive Director of the AJ the job of strengthening the economy with "responsibility, commitment, loyalty, and devotion." De La Fuente Serrano is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Mayor de San Simón University and holds a degree in undergraduate teaching from the same University located in the city of Cochabamba. He takes over from Juan Carlos Antonio Abrego, who had been appointed to fulfill that position in December 2019.
The AJ is a government body, an independent financial, administrative, and technical legal entity overseeing by the Ministry of Economy. This body regulates, controls, and audits the activities related to gambling, raffles, lotteries, and business promotions.
