In accordance with order 795/2020, Buenos Aires province officials have awarded a license to offer online gaming to the following licensees:
1.- “ARGENBINGO S.A. – WILL HILL LIMITED S.A. SUCURSAL ARGENTINA (joint venture)”
2.- “HILLSIDE (NEW MEDIA MALTA) PLC – PASTEKO S.A. (joint venture)”
3.- “HOTEL CASINO TANDIL S.A. – DYNAMO TYCHE S.A. – PLAYTECH SOFTWARE LIMITED (joint venture)”
4.- “CASSAVA ENTERPRISES (Gibraltar) LIMITED – BOLDT S.A. (joint venture)”
5.- “ATLANTICA DE JUEGOS S.A. – STARS INTERACTIVE LIMITED (joint venture)”
6.- “BINBAIRES S.A. – INTRALOT INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (joint venture)”
7.- “CASINO DE VICTORIA S.A – BETSSON MALTA HOLDING LIMITED (joint venture)”
Published on the province’s official gazette on December 31st, the decision was made pursuant to Law 15,079, approved during the province’s prior administration led by governor Maria Eugenia Vidal, who greenlighted this gaming modality while the current administration rejected it.
Pursuant to section 3, each licensee must make a “Single Fixed Payment” amounting to ARS 65,000,000 (approximately USD 768,200 at the official exchange rate).
"Each licensee must pay ARS 26,000,000 (approximately USD 307,300) upon signing of the licensing agreement, while the balance must be paid in accordance with Chapter IV, subsection H of the bidding terms and conditions," according to the text signed by Buenos Aires Province Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC) president Omar Galdurralde.
Moreover, the joint venture “BINGO PILAR S.A. – PPB COUNTERPARTY SERVICES LIMITED SUCURSAL ARGENTINA”, was removed from the registry of applicants since the latter decided not to participate in the process on May 22, 2020, allowing “Casino de Victoria SA – Betsson Malta Holding Limited” to obtain a license.
