Simplebet announced this week it has reached a multi-year agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB) to become an Official Odds Provider for its free-to-play Rally app beginning with the 2021 season.
Simplebet, a B2B technology company leveraging data to develop the future operating system of in-play betting and fan engagement, will license its groundbreaking technology to help power Rally’s in-play fan experience, further enhancing the app’s in-game predictions, which allow users to make picks around Micro-Markets such as every at-bat.
The partnership will integrate Simplebet’s proprietary Micro-Markets pricing engine, which combines both the automated market mechanics of a betting market (i.e. creation, suspension, repricing, and resulting) and odds for each potential outcome of a respective occurrence, into the app’s functionality.
MLB Rally, presented by BetMGM, is a real-time game where eligible users 21 years of age and older can make live predictions, earn points, and climb the leaderboard competing for daily prizes including cash, merchandise and more. Simplebet’s revolutionary technology will improve MLB’s ability to offer predictions across every plate appearance for every MLB game this upcoming season.
“We’re excited to be partnering with MLB to power its Rally app as the game provides the perfect platform to showcase the capabilities of Micro-Market predictions,” said Chris Bevilacqua, Co-Founder and CEO of Simplebet. “Every at-bat presents a unique opportunity to generate fan engagement and drive longer watch times, which is beneficial for operators, media partners and fans alike.”
“SimpleBet’s technology will take Rally’s live, in-game prediction experience to the next level. Having them as an Official Odds Provider will help us bring new engaging features to Rally fans for the upcoming 2021 season and beyond” said Kenny Gersh, Executive Vice President, Business Development at MLB.
