Simplebet has announced the rollout of real money micro-betting products for NBA and MLB games, which will be made available in Washington DC and Montana via its partnership with INTRALOT Inc., the US subsidiary of INTRALOT Group, a sports betting and lottery supplier.
Simplebet’s proprietary micro-betting pricing engine will enable users in those regions to bet on millions of individuals moments over the course of each game, through GambetDC and at licensed Sports Bet Montana locations, respectively.
These products represent the first-ever fully automated and full coverage opportunities of their kind offered for NBA and MLB games.
The Co-Founder and CEO of Simplebet Chris Bevilacqua, said: “We saw incredible user engagement around our real money offering during the NFL playoffs and are thrilled to unveil our next products for the NBA and MLB seasons alongside our partner, INTRALO. Micro-betting represents the future of the sports betting landscape in the U.S. and our technology is delivering an unmatched product for fans, operators, and media partners.”
INTRALOT’s Chief Executive officer Byron Boothe, said: “The results from the rollout of our real money micro-betting products in GambetDC and Sports Bet Montana have been extremely positive thus far and we’re excited to deliver the next evolution of wagering opportunities for the basketball and baseball seasons.”
In January, Simplebet and INTRALOT began offering drive-level markets in Washington DC via GambetDC for the NFL playoffs, and the early response indicated a strong appetite for micro-betting. Simplebet-powered micro-markets accounted for approximately 25 percent of GambetDC’s entire NFL in-play handle.
Globally, INTRALOT Group operates in 41 regulated jurisdictions with an average of $22.1 billion in annual wagering.
Simplebet recently announced the completion of a $15 million financing round bringing total funding to $50 million. The funding is being used to accelerate the development of the company’s technology platform to power micro-betting and eventually, all forms of in-play betting and fan engagement for U.S. sports.
