Looking forward to the global recovery from the Covid 19 Pandemic, the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) have confirmed that their 2021 Conference will go ahead in person from 12 to 17 September 2021 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
In announcing the re-scheduled event, titled "Disrupting the Regulator: Sparking innovation in regulatory practice," IAGR President Mabutho Zwane said: “As regulators, we recognize ongoing dialogue and collaboration across nations is vital to the continued success of our industry. This is particularly important at this time where the global pandemic has brought unprecedented change and challenges to each and every part of the globe.”
The IAGR 2021 conference is focused on disruption and sparking regulatory innovation to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of gambling regulation globally. The event, originally postponed from 2020, will draw on both pre-pandemic and post-pandemic expertise and understanding to support the international gambling regulation sector aiming to extend its reach and impact while provoking thinking and debate.
Zwane added: “While IAGR understands the challenges still facing so many of our members and their local communities, we as an organization believe it is important we continue to drive the global gambling regulatory agenda, particularly as many within the gambling industry are facing change and disruption.
“Our implementation and management of IAGR 2021, through the organizing committee, will focus on Covid Safe practices, following WHO Health Guidelines as well as providing opportunities for those individuals unable to travel due to the impacts of the pandemic with avenues for participation."
IAGR looks forward to the opportunity to continue hosting successful thought leadership events and bringing together the global gambling regulatory community and introducing new initiatives to be launched soon, the company stated in a press release.
