New Mexico's Isleta Resort & Casino is offering a $250 cash incentive to attract workers.

The Albuquerque's gambling venue will hold an online "hiring blitz" on June 1 from 8 a.m. to noon. The first 100 qualified applicants who get hired from the blitz will receive $100 during the on-boarding process as a sign-on bonus. New hires from the program will receive another $150 after completing six months of employment, according to Isleta's website.

“To attract the very best people to our team, we knew we needed to do something to grab their attention,” said Isleta CEO Harold Baugus in a statement, as reported by Albuquerque Business First. “So we are offering a share of up to $25,000 in signing bonuses to the first 100 new job applicants. Once they see all the other great benefits that come with working here, we think we will have the team members we need to take us into the future.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, the bulk of opportunities available are described as food and beverage jobs followed by positions within the hotel. Those who are offered positions will need to complete an on-site pre-employment Covid-19 test and drug test. Benefits include free dining; free access to an on-site health clinic; health, vision and dental insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off and more, according to a release.

“Our team members really appreciate the work environment we’ve worked so hard to create here at Isleta,” said Baugus. “Offering singing bonuses is just one more way to show job seekers that this is truly a great place to work.

Isleta Resort & Casino is open again after having to close on multiple occasions throughout 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Pueblo of Isleta has the largest tribal casino in the state after posting $88.51 million in net win in 2020.
