Hospitality industry veteran Brian Kurtz has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of Maryland's Rocky Gap Casino Resort by Las Vegas-based Golden Entertainment Inc.
Kurtz, who is responsible for providing sustainable and healthy profitability for the property, is also responsible for overseeing resort operations and ensuring that all staff members have the training, knowledge, and resources necessary to provide world-class guest service.
“Brian has been a valued member of the Golden Entertainment team for nearly a decade and brings a vast depth of experience in the hospitality industry to this integral role,” said Blake Sartini II, executive vice president of operations at Golden Entertainment, reports Cumberland Times-News. “We are confident that he will continue to propel the Rocky Gap brand forward with his strategic vision for guest care and resort operations.”
A Maryland native, Kurtz joined Golden Entertainment at Rocky Gap in 2012, where he served as director of food and beverage and director of resort operations. He moved up within Golden Entertainment and moved to Las Vegas in 2018 as vice president of food and beverage at Arizona Charlie’s casinos and the following year was promoted to assistant general manager. Prior to Golden Entertainment, Kurtz was director of food and beverage within the Crestline Hotels & Resorts properties.
