Hard Rock Hollywood sees Florida resident win $1.3M jackpot at Aristocrat's Dragon Link slot

A South Florida resident has won a $1,3331,540 jackpot while playing Aristocrat Gaming’s Dragon Link progressive slot game with a $250 bet at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, the gaming provider has announced.

The Sunrise, Florida resident visited the casino and won the millionaire sum on Friday, January 28. This new milestone marks the fourth $1 million jackpot to hit on the Dragon Link slot game at a Seminole Gaming property in less than 60 days.

In addition to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, the Dragon Link $1 million progressive jackpot can also be found at other Seminole venues, including Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and Seminole Coconut Creek Casino. The jackpot starts at $1 million at each property.

Hard Rock Hollywood's jackpots celebrated a record-breaking year in 2021.

In 2021, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood celebrated a record-breaking year, awarding more than $1.2 billion in slot machine jackpots, explains a press release. The integrated resort and casino paid out more than 420,000 jackpots, which equates to one jackpot nearly every minute.

In November, the casino celebrated surpassing $1 billion in jackpots awarded in 2021 with one player receiving a surprise grand prize of $100,000 cash. Joining the celebration was Pro Football Hall of Famer and Miami Dolphins legend Jason Taylor, who was on-site to congratulate the winner.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship integrated resort of Seminole Tribe of Florida-owned Hard Rock International brand. The gaming and hospitality destination unveiled a $1.5 billion expansion in 2019, introducing the world’s first “Guitar Hotel.”

The resort boasts 1,271 luxury guest rooms between three hotel towers. Amenities include a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa & Salon, an 18-acre recreational water experience, private “Bora Bora” style cabanas, and more than 20 food and beverage outlets.

In terms of gaming, it features a floor with 3,000 slots, 193 table games and a 45-table poker room. The venue also has 120,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and a 26,000 square-foot retail promenade.

The popular Dragon Link progressive slot game is a product by Aristocrat Technologies, a subsidiary of global games provider Aristocrat Leisure Limited. Building on the success of the Dragon Link high-denom slot, Aristocrat and Seminole Gaming introduced the $1 million Dragon Link high-limit progressive jackpot in June, 2021. It has a $25 minimum bet and a $2,500 max bet.

"As it has been with all Dragon Link games, player reception to the high-denom and mid-denom Dragon Link games has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Jon Hanlin, senior vice president of commercial strategy and business analytics at Aristocrat Gaming at the time. “Given that incredible player reception, Seminole Gaming approached us with player feedback, and we worked together to turn on the $1 million jackpot functionality in response.”
