Signs4U, and its partners REAC and Cash Support, are the latest companies to cancel their participation in ICE London 2022, to be held April 12-14.
The three Netherlands-based gaming providers, which specialize in lighting systems, cashless systems and cash handling devices, respectively, took the decision on Friday. They traditionally partner on two large booths at the ExCeL event.
On behalf of the three companies, Martin Spies, CEO of Signs4U, said in a press release: “We took the decision with considerable regret as we all respect the Clarion team and the London show very much. But our decision was taken for the obvious reasons… the timing is the principal one, close to Easter – too close – and the resulting expected reduction in footfall, because many of our customers will be on holiday with their families."
“There are other factors, such as the extra costs involved with Brexit and shipping product into the UK for the show, plus what are thankfully now only minor inconveniences brought about by the Omicron virus. But the timing is the principal reason for our joint decision,” Spies continued.
The CEO said that he anticipated that in 2023 he and his partner companies will again be present at the show.
Merkur Gaming, NOVOMATIC, Zitro, and TCS John Huxley were among the first to cancel their participation as exhibitors. They were followed last week by Italy-based gaming supplier Abbiati Casino Equipment, Euro Games Technology (EGT), Spintec, R. Franco and Quixant.
