In preparation for ICE London 2022, one of the industry’s most relevant events, Kambi spoke with Yogonet to provide a first-hand look into the company’s plans for the showcase and its expectations regarding this new in-person edition.
Kambi’s SVP of Sales, Sarah Robertson gave the publication an overall preview of what attendees will see when approaching stand S2-110, where the brand will be exhibiting “the full scope of Kambi’s sports betting offer”.
“We will have a large team on hand to talk delegates through why we are the trusted provider of sportsbook technology to visionary operators on six continents”, Robertson stated. “We will have our complete online and on-property offering available, including the latest enhancements to our powerful Bet Builder technology. Built into the core of the Kambi platform to allow for continual upgrades and enhancements, the product not only enables bettors to combine bets in a single event, but also across different events and sports for the first time, exponentially increasing the size of the menu”.
Esports data, odds and content provider acquired by Kambi in 2021, Abios, will also be available at the company’s stand. With esports displaying a burgeoning and receptive international audience, the scale of the esports betting opportunity is, according to Robertson, “unquestionably vast”.
“I’m excited about the potential we see with Abios to deliver this potential through 2022 and beyond”, she said.
Kambi has already attended in-person events held after the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020 which not only halted the gambling industry but the entire world as society conceived it.
Health safety measures were of utmost importance for these events to return to normalcy. For Kambi, this in-person event comeback came with renovated opportunities to network.
“Clarion Gaming always puts on a good show, and after two years away we’re looking forward to underlining why Kambi knows what it takes to deliver success for our growing partner network at ICE once again”.
ICE London will also provide masterclasses on regulation and compliance in the US and Latin American markets that Kambi will most definitely benefit from, as it has extended its footprint in Latin America by launching in various Argentinian provinces through partnerships with brands such as Casino Magic and BetWarrior, and is currently targeting the Peruvian market.
“We always appreciate the opportunity to network with our industry colleagues and share expertise, and we look forward to hearing from a range of experts at ICE. Since the opening of the US market in 2018, Kambi, more than any other provider, has demonstrated its calibre when it comes to reconciling the requirements of many different regulatory frameworks, launching in 18 states and completing more than 50 partner launches in the US in 2021 alone”.
Kambi has also recently entered the newly launched Ontario iGaming market, further broadening its horizons in the North American jurisdiction. In 2021, the company saw a revenue climb of 38%, which led to an all-time high of €162.4 million.
“We will look to use this as a springboard for further success this year. We are excited to go live with our market-leading sportsbook in what will be one of the biggest markets in North America. We are also buoyed by ongoing regulatory developments in the US and Latin America, with Kambi in a strong position to extend its global footprint which already stands at more than 40 jurisdictions”.
Kambi is also going to be present at other events in the 2022 calendar year, in what Robertson described as “another busy 12 months for the industry”.
North America will once again be a big area of focus. Members of the Kambi team will be attending shows such as G2E, the Canadian Gaming Summit and the SBC Summit North America; as well as the Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention in Anaheim.
“Kambi is the sportsbook partner to tribal operators including Desert Diamond Casinos, Four Winds Casinos and Seneca Gaming Corporation, and empowering tribes to unlock the potential of their brands through sports betting is a cornerstone of our ongoing commercial ambitions”, Robertson concluded.
