Caesars Entertainment announced Wednesday it has signed a multi-year deal with the New York Mets to turn its Caesars Sportsbook into the team’s Official Sports Betting Partner, in a partnership that also includes plans to open a new sportsbook lounge at Citi Field at the Metro Grille.
Scheduled to open during the 2022 Major League Baseball season, the new upscale 13,000 square foot space for fans to enjoy the Caesars Sportsbook app together will come to life on the Excelsior Level at Citi Field with a multi-tiered dining room and outdoor patio seating complete with panoramic views overlooking left field.
Access to official New York Mets logos and marks, TV-visible in-game signage and broadcast and digital content across Mets’ properties are also included in this partnership, which extends Caesars Sportsbook’s already-established footprint in New York.

Late last year, New York Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow introduced a bill to allow off-track betting (OTBs) and professional sports stadiums and venues to have mobile betting kiosks. Pretlow’s bill A8538 is in line with Senate bill S.7536, which was introduced by Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. on November 19, 2021. Both lawmakers oversee the Standing Committees on Racing and Wagering in the New York State Legislature, and were key negotiators during discussions that resulted in legalization of New York’s mobile sports betting through the state budget in April 2021.
In January, BetMGM and the Washington Nationals announced the opening of the first retail sportsbook connected to a Major League Baseball stadium, the BetMGM Sportsbook at Nationals Park is open year-round.
