After attending Peru Gaming Show (PGS) 2022, which took place in Lima in early June, Pragmatic Play once again reaffirmed its relevance in the Latin American region. The company’s Vice President of LatAm Operations, Victor Arias, who led one of the educational conferences during the event, has now spoken with Yogonet about Pragmatic Play’s participation at the event and reflected on its influence in the territory.
“The Peru Gaming Show gave us a great opportunity to further display our multi-product offering, and it was an extremely positive show," he explained. “It is no secret that Peru is an important market for us in Latin America, and we embraced the opportunity to further our knowledge in the market, as well as grow our presence."
The company showcased its complete range of products at the expo, including its recently released sportsbook, the brand’s fifth vertical.
“Our entire multi-vertical offering attracted attention”, Arias stated. “Naturally our slot games are a key attraction, with a wealth of themes, mechanics and features on offer, while our Live Casino portfolio has gained a huge amount of fans across the continent."
The VP of Latin American Operations added that both the company's Bingo and Virtual Sports verticals are “key revenue channels for us, often being taken by operators in commercial deals, and the popularity of these were clear to see."
The company is currently working on integrating its sportsbook vertical. “We are currently finalizing all the details to ensure that our sportsbook has the guarantees of our brand," Arias says.
In addition to the company showcasing its products, Victor Arias himself was a speaker during the event’s conference rounds, where he spoke about payment methods for the region during his session “Payment Methods for Latin America, the Challenge to Define the Best Options."
“The Latin American territory presents particular characteristics in terms of payment methods. There is a phenomenon in almost all countries: a great reliance on local methods. Several countries have developed local options focused on their audience, which have generated great adhesion among online casino players”, Arias told Yogonet.

“These methods are very useful for local users because of their accessibility and flexibility. For this, the markets initiated the corresponding processes to adapt their structures and technologies to accompany the correct implementation of their products," he stated.
Pragmatic Play has recently also attended the Brazilian iGaming Summit (BiS) event in São Paulo, and is setting sails to be present at SAGSE Miami.
“LatAm is clearly one of the most exciting regions in iGaming, and it’s something we’re looking to capitalize on," Arias notes. "We want to establish ourselves as the leading, most trusted provider in the continent, and will be attending these events to further showcase our content and highlight why it’s so popular with players."
