Canadian gaming operator Gateway Casinos & Entertainment will be holding a number of virtual job fairs ahead of the Cascades Casino Delta opening this fall. The project is expected to create up to 600 jobs and a $99.3 million investment to the economy in Delta, British Columbia.
Rowland England, vice president of operations BC West, said: “Our goal is to create memorable experiences for our guests. To do that we need to grow our team. We are looking for those that share our passion for people and commitment to exceptional customer service. I know we will find great local residents to join our team and deliver on this commitment."
The positions available at Cascades Casino Delta include several areas. For the casino, dealers, dealer supervisors and slot attendants are being recruited. Guests services representatives and supervisors are also being targeted.
Security officers, cashiers, count team members and supervisors, as well as cooks, assistant chefs, sous chef, restaurant servers, bartenders, hosts and dishwashers, are also wanted. Applications can be sent through Gateway & Entertainment’s website.
The 160,000-square-foot entertainment destination will feature "a state-of-the-art" gaming floor and multiple dining and culinary options; including signature restaurants Match Eatery & Public House, Summit Bar, and a full-service buffet. There is also going to be a meeting and event space.
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is one of the largest gaming and entertainment companies in Canada with 27 gaming properties in BC and Ontario, along with two properties in Edmonton, Alberta.
Gateway's Cascades Casino North Bay opened its doors in Ontario earlier in 2022, three years after its groundbreaking. A 39,000-square-foot venue, it is equipped with 300 machines, 10 electronic tables, six blackjack and roulette tables, and an adjacent restaurant called The Match Eatery, among other amenities.
