Ahead of the upcoming NFL season, Kambi has released their yearly NFL report, looking back at some betting statistics that were found on the company’s network from the 2021-22 NFL season kick-off game, all the way through the Super Bowl.
Now in its fourth year, Kambi’s NFL Season Report highlights key betting activity trends and data gathered from across the sports betting suppliers.
The world of football is getting ready to resume competition, with the NFL season due to begin on September 8 as the LA Rams look to mount their Super Bowl defense after triumphing over the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl LVI.
With the expansion of regulated sports wagering across the US continuing to gather pace, “offering a best-in-class NFL betting experience has proven to be crucial in attracting and retaining an engaged customer base”, Kambi wrote in its report.

Kambi portrayed in its report the top 5 teams by handle, which saw Kansas City Chiefs at the highest of the chart, followed by Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, and Buffalo Bills.
When it came to players sorted by handle, Patrick Mahomes sits at the top, followed by Josh Allen, Johnathan Taylor, Travis Kelce and Tom Brady.
24% of NFL bettors also placed a bet on NCAAF, 14% wagered on NHL, 30% bet on NBA, and 13% on MLB. 45% of pre-game NFL bettors placed another in-game bet on the NFL, while 56% did so on another US sport.
Kambi offered single and multi game parlay across all NFL games last season, giving bettors more choice and control over their bets. Bettors could also combine their NFL Game Parlays with selections from other leagues and sports.
60 of NFL Game Parlays bettors placed another in-game bet on the NFL, while 68% did so on a different US sport.
The company also benchmarked its Super Bowl offering against US-facing sportsbook competitors, taking into account factors including combinability, bet offers, UX and player prop availability.
“Kambi’s product finished top and scored highly across the board both for pre-game and live”, the company concluded in its report.
