The 12 Tribes Colville Casinos located in Washington State, in collaboration with IGT, have officially launched sports betting kiosks at their three locations in Lake Chelan, Omak, and Coulee Dam. The sports betting operations, known as 12 Sports Book, allow wagering on many sports -including football, baseball, and soccer- with a minimum bet of five dollars.

To celebrate the debut of sports betting, 12 Tribes Colville Casinos announced a launch giveaway including prizes and signed sports memorabilia. Patrons who place a bet between the launch and November 4, 2022, earn one entry ticket for each bet they place. The 12 Sports Book kiosks are located on the casino floor and are available 24 hours a day, a press release notes.

Kary Nichols, CEO of 12 Tribes Colville Casinos, said: "The 12 Sports Book is an exciting step for our team. We have been working towards this for a long time now, and are all looking forward to celebrating our hard work with our patrons."

"We have been personally working on this for, I believe we did the math, it was about two years now," spokesperson May Askins-Huber said, as reported by KPQ. "Pretty much as soon as this became available in Washington State, we had our team working on this."

Governor Jay Inslee signed a bill passed by the legislature to legalize sports gambling at tribal casinos on March 25, 2020. It took the better part of a year and a half from that point to finalize the language to enable the wagering. Sports betting has some restrictions in place, notably a ban on wagering on any athletic event involving a Washington college team.
