Sports betting and gaming group Entain has been named as 2022 LatAm Socially Responsible Operator of the Year by industry experts at SBC.
The award completes the 'triple crown' for Entain, having already been named by SBC as its global and North American Socially Responsible Operator of the Year. Entain was commended by the independent panel of judges for "leading the industry in both its safer betting and gaming programs as well as its broader commitments to ESG and sustainability," the company said in a press release.
The award is further recognition of Entain’s successful implementation of its safer gaming strategy and Sustainability Charter, the company noted. In the past year, the group achieved GamCare’s Advanced Safer Gambling Standard as well as being EGR North America’s Safer Gambling Provider. Additionally, Entain is a member of both the FTSE4Good and Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
We’ve worked tirelessly to lead the industry in #ESG.💜

Doing what is right for our customers including responsibility, is at the heart of our strategy and is fundamental to the way we do business."

In line with its social responsibility efforts, Entain recently announced that Epic Risk Management, part-funded by the Entain Foundation, will launch a new program to educate NCAA student-athletes. The scheme provides face-to-face education and awareness sessions.
