Gaming industry veteran Peter Nolan has passed away. Nolan was most recently serving as Group R&D Director at iGaming software solutions supplier Digitain.
“Digitain’s staff and entire community deeply mourn the passing of our most beloved and respected Peter Nolan, Group R&D Director and one of the company’s pillars,” the firm said in a LinkedIn statement. “No words can describe how devastated we all are by this loss of a dear friend, an exceptional colleague and a devoted professional.”
Throughout his extensive career within the sector, which counted over 20 years, Nolan worked in many renowned firms. He was part of the small team that launched Ladbrokes.com in 2001 and went on to be Customer Operations Director at Sky Betting and Gaming in 2004. In 2010 he launched his own iGaming consultancy, working with international clients such as Codere, Betfair and STV.
His work covered a number of areas and projects, from responsible gambling initiatives to the industry’s first football sponsorship deal in Scotland. Nolan was appointed Group R&D Director at Digitain in June this year, having previously served as consulting partner.
“Unrivaled and inspirational, Peter was one of our best, and we are so fortunate to have had him as an irreplaceable part of our family and an essential chapter in Digitain’s history. He will always be remembered with the highest regard,” Digitain further stated. “With shattered hearts, we extend our deepest sympathy and unwavering support to Peter Nolan’s family.”
On behalf of our newsroom, Yogonet deeply regrets this significant loss and we offer our deepest condolences to Nolan's family, colleagues and friends.
