Massachusetts' Raynham Park has partnered with sports wagering giant bet365 to offer mobile sports betting in the state. As announced earlier this week, bet365 applied for a tethered category-three online gaming license; while the retail sportsbook applied for a category-two license, which only current horse tracks or simulcast facilities are eligible for.
Set to open its doors in spring 2023, the Raynham Park Sportsbook will be located just south of Boston and feature more than 30,000 square feet of gaming space, two restaurants, bars, private event space, and more in a 60,000-square-foot entertainment complex.
Bet365 thus expands its US footprint, having recently gone live in Colorado. The brand will also soon offer its product in Ohio and Virginia. Founded by the Coates family in 2000, the brand is licensed in over 20 jurisdictions and will continue to roll out across the US in 2023.
Raynham Park founder George Carney said: "We are thrilled to partner with the world's largest online sports betting company to offer this high-demand entertainment option to our customers."
"This partnership is the next step in the evolution of Raynham Park as we move toward the opening of our sportsbook, which will be one of the largest in the United States and set a new standard for destination gaming in Massachusetts," he added.
Meanwhile, a bet365 spokesperson said: "bet365 is thrilled to partner with Raynham Park ahead of launching in Massachusetts in 2023. With so many legendary sports franchises and dedicated fans based in the state, this was a natural fit for us as we continue our US expansion."
"We’re excited to work with the Carney family and look forward to delivering an unrivaled sports betting product to sports fans across the Bay State," the group concluded.
