Betfair is the new sponsor of the Brazilian Series of Poker, according to officials. The operator is thus associated with the largest poker tournament in South America and will have a lounge at the event, which allows players to enjoy gaming and an exclusive area with snacks and drinks.
Another Betfair promotion offers a free sports prediction tournament for the match between Brazil and Serbia on November 24, as part of the World Cup in Qatar. Those who guess the final result will share a prize pool of BRL 50,000 ($9,385) in bonuses to play in any BSOP tournament.
All players with at least 20 reais in their account balance will be able to enter the Betfair Mega Freeroll on November 26, with BRL 65,000 ($12,201) which will be given in packages to play the BSOP Bahamas or the BSOP São Paulo in 2023.
BSOP tournament director Devanir Campos explained that both the poker and betting markets are constantly growing. "The partnership between Betfair and BSOP is virtuous, as it unites a gaming giant with the largest poker organization in Brazil," he stated.
"We can enrich the customers of both companies, who enjoy the best experience of both sports betting and poker in the southern hemisphere. This union demonstrates the importance of the poker and betting markets in Brazil," he added.
Betfair CEO Kimberley Daly also celebrated the partnership. "The BSOP Millions 2022 has been a great success and we are delighted to partner with the event this year. The Betfair Lounge has been a great opportunity to interact face-to-face with Brazilian poker players, as well as providing a premium space for them to relax, have fun and explore the best sports betting experience, which only Betfair can offer," noted Daly.
"The BSOP Millions is the largest poker tournament ever staged in the southern hemisphere of the globe, and our partnership is a testament to the commitment and the focus Betfair is dedicating to the Brazilian market," she concluded.
The BSOP Millions is taking place at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo, Brazil, from November 14 to 26. The guaranteed prize pool is set at BRL 20 million ($3.7 million), across 83 tournaments.
