Los Angeles Times' readers have chosen Morongo Casino Resort & Spa near Palm Springs in California as the Best Casino in the Southland, according to recently-released survey results. Voters cited "its beautifully renovated suites and rooms" and "delectable dining choices" among the reasons for their choice.
The newspaper's 2022 Best of the Southland Readers' Choice poll employed an exhaustive nomination and voting process that engaged readers across Southern California who named the 27-story gaming hot spot as the area's best casino in the poll's Entertainment & Living category. Expanded in 2020, Morongo boasts one of the largest gaming floors in California.
"We can't thank our guests enough for this wonderful distinction as the Southland's best casino," said Richard St. Jean, Morongo's Chief Operating Officer. "Nothing is better than receiving an award that's determined by the ultimate judge – our guests. We'll continue to go above and beyond to exceed expectations – it's who we are that makes Morongo great."
In its rankings of the best casinos, the Best of the Southland survey noted Morongo's amenities also include the Oasis Pool, which features a lazy river and secluded VIP casitas "for the ultimate resort experience."
The honors are among the latest for Morongo, which has previously been named the #1 Southern California casino by Yahoo Travel and the Best Casino Resort by Southern California Gaming Guide.
