Gauselmann Group announced Thursday it will be kicking off the new year with a trade fair in the Netherlands on January 9-12. The Merkur Gaming Netherlands subsidiary will be presenting its diverse product range at Horecava, the largest Dutch trade fair for the hospitality sector.

More than 60,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre to learn about the latest products and services from the hotel and food-service industry.

Athanasios “Sakis” Isaakidis, Chief Executive, International at Merkur Gaming, commented: “Horecava is the largest Dutch event for the food, beverage and service industry and, therefore, the ideal platform for us to showcase our electronic gaming offering for the Dutch gastronomy market.”

We have products in our portfolio that have been specifically developed for the Dutch hospitality industry, which we are looking forward to personally presenting to visitors,” he added.

The focus of the product exhibition this year will be on the G-Box and M-Box refurb slot machines. “The G-Box has already celebrated considerable success in the Dutch gastronomy market. Thanks to its slim and ergonomic design, it fits perfectly into any hospitality environment and is increasingly replacing outmoded reel-based machines,” the company says.

In addition, the DCS (Dynamic Content System) games management system provides operators with a new game for the G-Box every month – with no need even for an Internet connection. The M-Box refurb. is also a multigamer specifically tailored to the needs of the Dutch gastronomy sector.

The M-Box refurb. are existing gaming arcade machines that following careful technical and optical testing have been refurbished for use in the hospitality industry. The M-Box refurb. is thus setting new standards in the sustainable development and production of AWPs, says Merkur.

Dirk Sondermann, Managing Director of Merkur Gaming Netherlands, stated: "At Horecava, operators of gastronomy establishments have the opportunity to try out our state-of-the-art video-based gaming machines for themselves and thus become convinced of their quality and potential.”

We can also establish contacts between interested restaurateurs and machine operators, enabling them to work out the details of a joint partnership. Horecava enjoys an excellent reputation and I am sure that Merkur Gaming Netherlands' attendance will enable us to build on the successes enjoyed pre-Covid," Sondermann concluded.
