International Game Technology announced Thursday that its Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune slots awarded two million-dollar-plus jackpots in January.
The company reported that on January 17, an online Powerbucks slots player won CAD 1.3 million ($973,000) playing Wheel of Fortune Exotic Far East in Ontario, Canada. On January 31, another online bettor made CAD $ 1.1 million ($823,000) playing the same title, in Ontario as well.
IGT Powerbucks slots have paid 46 jackpots of CAD 1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016. Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1,100 millionaires and awarded over CAD 3.4 billion in jackpots since their launch in 1996.
This week, the company announced it was recognized with several top honors in three award programs: the Global Gaming Awards London, European Casino Awards, and International Gaming Awards. The events were all held in conjunction with major global expo ICE London, which came to an end on Thursday.
IGT was named the Casino Supplier of the year for the third consecutive year during the annual EMEA-focused Global Gaming Awards. And during the International Gaming Awards, the company took home the Lottery Product of the Year award for its Progressive eInstants.
Meanwhile, the company's PeakSlant 49 cabinet was distinguished at the European Casino Awards with the Best Slot Machine award, in an event where the business also received the “Best Diversity and Inclusion Employer” recognition for a second consecutive edition.
