International Game Technology (IGT) announced Thursday that its Wheel of Fortune slots awarded two three-million-dollar plus jackpots in February. Also last month, IGT's Powerbucks slots minted a jackpot totaling more than one million dollars.
IGT's Wheel of Fortune slots paid out two massive jackpots totaling more than $6.5 million combined for the month, as two lucky players each won a $3-million-plus jackpot on the renowned slots brand. The jackpots were as follows:
IGT Powerbucks slots have paid 47 jackpots of $1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016, the company notes. Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1,100 millionaires and awarded over $3.4 billion in jackpots since their launch in 1996. In January, IGT's Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune slots awarded million-dollar-plus jackpots to two lucky Ontario players.
The Wheel of Fortune slot is inspired by the popular Wheel of Fortune TV program, which reaches more than 25 million weekly viewers. Trademarked as America’s Game, it has earned seven Emmy Awards including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
It's been an exciting few days for the Wheel of Fortune slots brand. Earlier this month, iGaming and sports betting operator BetMGM released a new Wheel of Fortune Online Casino in collaboration with IGT. The product is touted as "the first brand-led online casino in North America." Now live in New Jersey, the casino is home to Wheel of Fortune-branded slot titles, as well as additional themed games and features.
