The Canadian Premier League (CPL) announced a new deal with Tonybet, naming it the League's Official Sports Betting and Online Casino Partner. This agreement marks the beginning of a multi-year deal between the two parties.

Mark Noonan, Commissioner, Canadian Premier League, and CEO, Canadian Soccer Business, commented: “We are excited to add tonybet to our growing roster of CPL sponsors. We look forward to working with them on experiences that engage our fans and enhance what it means to be a supporter of the CPL and Canadian soccer in general.”

Tonybet becomes the presenting partner of the CPL’s Match of the Week broadcast on OneSoccer, the League’s exclusive broadcast media partner. The Match of the Week broadcast will keep fans up to date on CPL news and features through its comprehensive coverage of some of the most anticipated matches over this year’s 28-game regular season.

The League’s newest sponsor also becomes the presenting partner of the CPL’s Predictor contest on canpl.ca/predictor and the League’s Centre Circle app, an interactive digital gaming experience that allows fans to predict the action for every club’s match over the course of the League’s milestone fifth season.

Alex Haig, Country Manager Canada, TonyBet, added: “We are delighted to get behind the CPL and to take our brand to a growing and passionate fan base. With the CPL being one of the fastest growing leagues in Canada tonybet is excited to build and enhance the fan experience.”

Back in January, Tonybet inked a deal with Greentube - Novomatic's digital gaming division - broadening its conent into Latvia.

As a result of the deal, TonyBet's customers in the Baltic state can now enjoy a wide range of classic Greentube and blue chip Novomatic titles, including Book of Ra deluxe, Lucky Lady's Charm Deluxe and Sizzling Hot, as well as 'modern hits' from the Diamond Link and Cash Connections range.

TonyBet, which offers sports betting, online casino and live casino in Latvia through the TonyBet.lv domain, is also set to roll out Greentube content in the regulated market of Spain. 'The ambitious operator currently has 10 online gambling licences worldwide and is committed to adhering to the best practices to protect players' interests,' the parties noted in a statement.
