The winners of the second edition of the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific were announced at a virtual event held today, Monday, acknowledging the strongest performers in the Asia-Pacific region over the past year.
The Global Gaming Awards events in Las Vegas and London have become some of the industry's ''most prestigious awards," according to organizer Gambling Insider. Nominations are based on specific reasons publicly available for each company and individual. The Asia-Pacific event follows the same tradition, and the complete Shortlist can be found on the Awards' official site.
Mariya Savova, Event Manager of the Global Gaming Awards, expressed enthusiasm about the notable achievements of the gaming industry in Asia-Pacific, stating: "Last year I said that despite Covid-19-related struggles, the gaming industry in Asia-Pacific still had plenty to celebrate. Well, this year there really is a lot to celebrate."
Savova further emphasized the engagement from the industry, as numerous companies submitted self-nominations, and independent industry consultants were consulted to ensure an objective selection process. The final Shortlist affirms the resurgence of the gaming industry in Asia-Pacific and its promising future, according to Savova.
Over 30 senior executives from the APAC gaming industry participated in the selection process for the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2023. KPMG in the Crown Dependencies acted as an independent adjudicator, overseeing the voting process to ensure fairness.
Julian Perry, Editor-in-Chief of Gambling Insider, congratulated the winners and all the companies and individuals who made it to the Shortlist. “Following a challenging couple of years, it was great to see the APAC gaming industry return to profitability. We are already looking forward to what the industry there will achieve over the next 12 months,” he added.
The Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2023 had BetConstruct as the Lead Partner. Other sponsors included Interblock Gaming, Digitain, Light & Wonder, Upgaming, Pragmatic Play, and Spribe.
