Pragmatic Play releases new Asian culture-inspired slot Fat Panda

iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play is adding modifiers on the reels of its latest slot release, called Fat Panda. The title features an Asian-inspired aesthetic across its 5×3 reels.

The game is home to numerous symbols in keeping with the overall theme of the slot, including fans, lamps and golden coins. If these symbols match across Fat Panda’s 20 paylines, a win is awarded. The online slot modifies wilds with numerous game-altering features. 

Aiding players in unlocking wins are wilds, which substitute for any base game symbols and allow additional opportunities to form wins. Above the game board, a modifier reel can transform gameplay by either adding more wilds to the game board, expanding wilds into a wild reel, adding a multiplier or adding multipliers across all wilds present. These result in improved winning potential for players, which is further expanded upon in the bonus.

At least three scatters are required to unlock the free spins round. Here, any wilds landed are held throughout all subsequent spins with retriggers also being added to the modifier reel, increasing the number of spins awarded and in turn expanding the chance of unlocking more sticky wilds.

Fat Panda utilizes a modifier system to build upon the experience offered in both the base game and bonus round, "exemplifying the provider’s focus on mechanical variety."
