Great Canadian Entertainment has announced more amenities to be added to its new Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto property, including a new poker room, set to open later this summer. Additionally, a new 400-room hotel will also be opened on August 1, with reservations now open for guests.
Last month, on June 20, the $1 billion ($758 million) casino resort opened under its "phase one," which includes its 328,000 square feet gaming floor. The property offers an array of gaming options including 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms, and sports betting kiosks; as well as a variety of dining options and a 3,800-space parkade.

The new poker room will offer 30 tables available to players, on a completely private floor with electronic table games and slots available for those waiting, and 'No Limit' and 'Limit' stakes at varying levels. The addition of larger poker tournaments will also be a main feature of the new room.
Furthermore, the poker room will include four tables situated in a semi-private area. This exclusive section will cater to higher-stakes games and final tables, "creating an intimate setting for discerning players."

As for The Hotel at Great Canadian Toronto, the facility will feature 400 well-appointed rooms. Located just minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport, the accommodations range from 400 square feet to 840 square feet and include several accessible rooms and suites, "catering to the diverse needs and preferences of guests."
Additionally, The Hotel will soon unveil its wellness area, a dedicated space that will include a fitness center with best-in-class equipment, and a wet area featuring a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, and a steam room, set to open over the next weeks in different phases.
The opening of the poker room and hotel are the next significant milestones in the destination's development, followed by the opening of new restaurants and a dining hall, while a 5,000-seat entertainment venue will also open in the coming months. The property also features two PlaySmart centers on the floor, aimed at helping those suffering from gambling-related harms.
The news comes soon after Live Nation Canada became Great Canadian’s exclusive booking partner. The deal includes the Arena at Pickering Casino Resort, River Rock Casino Resort, Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New Brunswick, and The Schooner Showroom at Casino Nova Scotia.
