Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has announced the grand opening date for its new Pequot Woodlands Casino. The casino, which covers over 50,000 square feet, and is located in the Grand Pequot Concourse set to open to the public on August 29th.
Foxwoods’ website notes that the new casino houses over 430 new slot machines, a 40-seat slot bar named Truth Searcher, 24 table games, a new High Limit Slot room with 130 state-of-the-art machines, a public bar, and a casino cage. It further says that the casino boasts an “elevated, modern look that seamlessly incorporates Pequot-inspired designs and symbols, creating a unique forest-like atmosphere.”

The website further elaborates on the ambiance noting that it features wood-wrapped pillars, cloud-like structures, and a custom-designed carpet that mimics light refracting through trees. The casino also has chandeliers and clouds encircled with a three-ring motif further contributing to the design, highlighting Pequot symbols that aim to celebrate community and alliance.

The Pequot Woodlands Casino is the recent development that Foxwoods has made over the past year. The property features the Grand Pequot Concourse alongside the new casino is Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, which was inaugurated last month where guests can enjoy acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsay’s renowned cuisine.
The additional amenities include a new bingo hall and expo hall, an all-new Great Wolf Lodge set to open in 2025, and the fast-casual chain Wahlburgers, which is set to open later this month.
