European lottery group Allwyn announced the new leadership team that will oversee the delivery of the Fourth National Lottery Licence, which begins on February 1, 2024, and the transformation of the UK National Lottery over the next decade.

Robert Chvàtal, Allwyn CEO, who will hand over the reins of the UK leadership to Andria Vidler in October, commented: "This is a talented team with deep experience and a strong personal commitment to delivering the very best for communities across the UK through ever greater returns to Good Causes from The National Lottery. Andria and I look forward to working with them all over the coming years."

As of October 1, the new CEO of Allwyn will be Andria Vidler. Joining her, Gaby Heppner-Logan will become the new Chief Assurance and Participant Protection Officer; Lucy Buckley will be the Chief Commercial Officer; and Martin Novak will take the role of Chief Data Officer on an interim basis.

Furthermore, Alan Artz is due to become the next CFO, Sam Sheriff will be the Chief People Officer, Mark Smith will take the role of Chief Technology Officer, and Alastair Ruxton as the Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer.

Other appointments Harry Willits as General Counsel, and Jenny Blogg as Operations Director. Lastly, Eddie Bennett and Paul Lumb will serve as transformation directors for operations and technology, respectively.

"I'd like to express my huge thanks to Clare, Neil, and the Camelot leadership team for their sterling work over many years supporting The National Lottery. The National Lottery makes a huge contribution to communities across the UK through the money it generates for Good Causes. They have a great deal to be proud of. I wish them all the very best for the future," Chvàtal added.

Back in July, Allwyn outlined the next steps for retailers ahead of the changeover. After site surveys, where all retailers are being visited for future equipment upgrades, Allwyn will contact retailers as the next step. The lottery operator will tell them how they can electronically transfer their existing retailer agreement from Camelot to Allwyn.

Allwyn has set a deadline of December 18 to ensure retailers do not experience an interruption to their National Lottery service. As part of this transfer process, retailers will be given access to an online portal where they will be able to read their new retailer agreement.
