Online gambling giant bet365 announced Thursday that it has officially commenced sports betting operations in Kentucky. In partnership with Sandy's Gaming and Racing, Kentucky becomes the sixth state of bet365’s expansion in the United States, which already includes Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Iowa, and Colorado.
A bet365 spokesman said: "We are incredibly excited to officially launch in the great state of Kentucky! Now Kentuckians can take advantage of our epic Bet Boosts, the fastest Live In-Game product and best Same Game Parlay experience, and see first-hand why the bet365 experience is Never Ordinary."
According to a press release, registration and deposit processes for customers in Kentucky began 30 days ago. And as of Thursday, they can activate their accounts. New customers in Kentucky, aged 18 and above, can claim a 'New Customer Offer' where they can bet $1 and receive $365 in bonus bets. To be eligible, a minimum deposit of $10 is required within seven days prior to claiming the offer.
Additionally, new players can expect a range of features on the bet365 platform, including same-game parlay, cash out and edit bets. bet365 also offers bet boosts and super boosts on various sports, as well as same-game parlay profit boosts. The platform also offers live streaming for over 780,000 events and a wide range of pre and live in-game props for major sporting events.
Qualifying bets must settle within 30 days and meet certain conditions to release the bonus bets. These bonus bets are non-withdrawable and have specific usage terms.
The Kentucky launch follows the Arizona Department of Gaming announcing last month that the Ak-Chin Indian Community, with bet365 as its sportsbook partner, was awarded an event wagering license in the regulator's most recent offering.
bet365 must launch within 180 days of getting its license, which would mean the sportsbook will go live sometime before the end of February. bet365 also got its Pennsylvania license approved in January, but still has to launch in that state.
